I remember one of the first times I met Mrs. Betts, right after Bryan and I started dating. I called her Ma Betts and the room went quite. Calmy, Mrs. Betts said, "Dear, just call Mrs. Betts". I was told later that Ma Betts was a big no no. The way she opened her home to Bryan and all of Dale's friends was truly amazing. I'm not sure if anyone can even describe what that meant, and still means to those boys. All their good memories happened at Dale's or 'on the way' to Dale's. I can only hope to be half the mother and woman she was. What an incredible legacy she leaves behind! Her faith in God, her patience, her good sense of humor putting up with Danny's teasing, her love for Nathaniel....these are the things I will think of first when I remember Mrs. Betts. Thanks you for sharing your mother with us, we enjoyed her so much, and we will always love her. Vicki Parker
